The Classic Style Round Grate series is built from 1/2 inch square-bar steel. Adding a grate to your fire pit will maximize your fire pit experience as improved airflow will keep your fire burning hotter.

Available in four diameters - 18 inches, 24 inches, 30 inches, and 36 inches. All sizes of the Classic Style grate stand at an overall height of 4.5 inches.

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: All grates are hand-made, and as such the diameter can vary by up to 1/2 inch. To ensure that your grate will fit in your fire pit, please select a diameter that is at least 1 inch smaller than the diameter of your fire pit.

IMPORTANT NOTE 2:We recently discontinued applying the temporary black coating to our grates and now ship them in their raw steel finish. The paint was intended to minimize rusting during warehousing and shipping of the grate. It was not intended to survive the first few fires or continue to protect the grate after installation. As this coating was applied purely for initial cosmetic appearance and is completely unnecessary for the grate to function, we have decided to remove this unnecessary step from our production process to keep costs down and reduce the environmental impact of our grates. This does mean some surface rust is to be expected when the grate arrives, but rest assured this will burn off and be replaced by soot and creosote each time you burn a fire on the grate.

Haven't used it yet but it looks well made. Fast shipping, too, thank you. I later got the extension legs because the bottom of my firepit is gravel and the legs just sunk in, especially with the weight of wood. Better with the extender legs which come in different lengths. Very well thought thru.

This item is well made and was purchased to use at an event later this month. It should gives us a great Bonfire - the design will provide the fire with an airflow from underneath. The price was very reasonable because I also received a coupon from Etsy. The fire pit grate was shipped so quickly I was in disbelief! Great piece, great experience. SteelFreak makes a nice product.
